NORMAN P. SEELA

Norman P Seela

   Services were held Friday at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine for Norman P Seela, 62, who died last Tuesday in Modesto.
   Burial was at at Hills Ferry Cemetery.
   Mr. Seela was a native of Weatherford, Texas and had lived in Gustine for 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and worked as a filler operator for the Carnation Company in Gustine. He was a member of the Gustine Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
   Survivors include his wife Ethel Seela of Gustine; a son Gary Seela of Gustine, two brothers Stirl Seela of Modesto and Rue Seela of San Leandro; and two grandchildren.

Norman registered for the draft in Oakland, CA on 23 December 1942 and was inducted into the Army at San Francisco, CA on 2 April 1943.

Pfc Seela was transferred from the 505th PIR to Company D, 508th PIR on 9 October 1945.

He was discharged on 21 April 1946.
