PATRICK G. SEGOVIA

Grave and inurnment niche markers for Patrick G. Segovia in Section 15, Site 315, Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville (Christian county), Kentucky.  Why both types of markers exist is unexplained.

 

Patrick registered for the draft in Jefferson county, KS on 20 March 1944.

On 24 April 1945, Pvt Segovia was transferred from the 51st Reinforcement Battalion to Company H, 5-8th PIR.

He re-=enlisted at Smoky Hill Army Air Field, Salinas, KS on 14 August 1946.

MSgt Segovia was injured in a practice jump at Fort Campbell on 12 March 19064.  It must have been a windy day as another man was killed. [

MSgt Segovia retired at Fort Campbell after 20 years service on 18 September 1964.
