  MARTINSVILLE ? Arthur D. Seman, 88, Martinsville, formerly of Winamac, passed away at 4:46 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. (EDT) today at Frain Mortuary, Winamac.
   Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
   Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at the mortuary.
   Memorial contributions may be given to American Legion Post No. 71 or VFW Post No. 1728.

Arthur D. Seman, 88, Martinsville, IN, formerly of Winamac, IN, passed away at 4:46 PM Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis, IN.
  He was born February 20, 1926, in Darke County, OH, to Rueben and Rosa Foreman Seman. Arthur was married on December 21, 1950, in Union City, IN, to Judy E. McGinnis. She survives.
   A native of Darke County, OH, Arthur entered the US Army in 1945 and retired at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1969. He was a paratrooper and served in Korea. Following his retirement from the Army he and his family moved to Winamac
  . He was first employed at Plymouth Tube and then he retired from Winamac Steel. Arthur enjoyed building and flying remote controlled aircraft.
 Survivors include: Judy E. Seman, Martinsville, IN, Wife; Martin M. Seman, Shelbyville, IN Son Julie L. Stevenson, Chesterfield, VA Daughter Cindy A. Seman, West Columbia, SC Daughter Jeanette S. Walker, Martinsville, IN Daughter Ben K. Seman, Winamac, IN Son 10 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren Evelyn Wise, Muncie, IN Sister Preceded in death by: Rueben Seman, Father Rosa Foreman Seman, Mother 1 Grandchild 1 Brother 3 Sisters Funeral Services will be held at 2PM EDT Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, with Pastor David Norris officiating. Burial will take place in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac, IN. Visitation will be after 1PM EDT Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Frain Mortuary. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services. Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Legion Post #71 or VFW Post #1728.

Arthur registered for the draft in Greenville, OH on 21 February 1944 and was inducted into the Army at Fort Benning, GA,

Pfc Seman served with Co G, 508th PIR where he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal on 11 April 1946.
