SHAVER, ORVAL L., 69, of Tampa, died Thursday (Nov. 24, 1988). He was born in Akron, Ohio, and came here in 1971.
He was an Army paratrooper during World War II and was a member of Amvets Post No. 4, Tampa. He was a member of VFW Post 10140, Tampa, and the American Legion Post 139, Tampa.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Belanger, Tampa, and Karen Lee, Akron; a sister, Myrle Richardson, Akron; and five grandchildren.

Sgt Shaver was a
cadre member having transferred from the 507th to Headquarters
Company, 3rd Battalion on 16 October 1942 . He quickly
became 1st Sgt and held that rank throughout WWII. |
