PAUL J. SHWED

PAUL J. SHWED, 74, of Park Ridge died Saturday. Before retiring, he was a technician for RCA Service Co. and General Electric Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 153. He was a member of Council 4486 of the Knights of Columbus and the Players Theater Company, Park Ridge. Arrangements: Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Park Ridge.

SHWED Paul Joseph, 74, of Park Ridge any Port. St. Lucie, FL on December 29, 2001.
   Beloved husband for 50 years of Barbara Ann (nee Madar). Devoted father and father-in-law of Alyssa and Paul Demos of Blairstown, NJ; Stephen Shwed of Park Ridge and Palm City, FL; Cheryl Dodson and Douglas Conerty of Manasquan, NJ; Warren and Valerie Shwed of Hewitt, NJ; and Michael and Sharon Shwed of Vero Beach, FL. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Jennifer, Christina, and Stephanie. Brother of Peter Shwed of Oakland, NJ. Cherished uncle and friend to many nieces, nephews, and friends.
   He was a serviceman with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment during World War II. He was a technician with RCA Service Company/GE for 42 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 153 and one of the original Color Guard. He was a lifetime Member of the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Fatima Council, No. 4486. After retiring, he became an active member of the Player's Theatre Company of Park Ridge and the Savanna Player's Club of Port St. Lucie.
   Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday (Jan. 2, 2002) 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, Park Ridge, NJ. Interment, Cemetery of the Ascension, Monsey, NY. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday and Tuesday at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Inc., 155 Kinderkamack Road, Park Ridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the American Cancer Society, Bergen Unit, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 or the Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps., P.O. Box 204, Park Ridge, N J 07656-9985.
