NATHAN SILVERLIEB
HOLYOKE - Nathan Silverlieb, 82, died Wednesday evening at the Holyoke Healthcare Center. He served in the Army in WWII in the 82nd Airborne, receiving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

He was a retired Used Tire Dealer and Gunsmith. He was a member of the Holyoke Revolver Club, where he was also an instructor and past president, the American Legion Post 351, the Elks Club 902, the Trench Rats, and the D. A. V. He was also a volunteer at the Springfield Armory Museum.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Friday at 1:30 PM at the Ascher-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Springfield with burial in the Norwich Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery in Preston, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Springfield Armory Museum, 1 Armory Square, Springfield, MA 01105.
