Grave marker for Edward L, Skyles in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal
(Warren County), Virginia
Edward was
a member of Company "I", 508th PIR and was awarded the Bonze Service
Arrowhead device to be worn on the European-Africa-Middle East campaign
ribbon for his participation in the Normandy Assault.
He was wounded in action on July 4, 1944 and was awarded the
Purple Heart medal. |
