ERWIN E. STARK

MOUNT HOREB - Erwin E. Stark, age 82, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2003, at Ingleside Nursing Home.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1920, in Wolcott, Ind., to Edward and Effie (Gridley) Stark.

He was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II as a paratrooper in Germany.

He was married to the former Jean Ann Kramer. He is survived by his wife; a daughter; two sisters; and a brother. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at Mount Vernon Zwingu United Church of Christ.

Erwin transferred from into Company C from  Hq 82d A/B Div. in Leicester, England on 23 July 1944. He was awarded the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for his participation in the Holland campaign and Airborne operations

T/4 Stark served in both Company C and company F during WW-II.
