STOUT, Richard F. Sr., ("Dick") 67, of Roanoke, passed away at home on
Sunday, January 11, 1998. He was the retired President and Owner of Stout
Door Corporation, Salem, Va. Mr. Stout was a graduate of the
University of Charleston (W.Va.), an Officer and Airborne Veteran of the U.
S. Army, a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church, the Roanoke Elks Lodge
Association of General Contractors, Arbitrator of the Better Business Bureau
of S. W. Va., and Roanoke Valley Flying Club.
Surviving loving family members include his wife, Shirley
W. Stout; son and wife, Richard F. Jr. and Deborah J. Stout; daughter, Carol
Stout Setzer; daughter and husband, Nancy S. and G. Eric Richards; and four
grandchildren, Logan and Anna Richards, Melissa and Jenny Harrison. Mr.
Stout was predeceased by his father, B. Frederick Stout and survived by his
mother, Erma B. Stout; an aunt, Gladys M. Wills; two brothers and
sisters-in-law, William R. and Janice K. Stout, Robert L. and Karen A.
Stout; and numerous nephews & nieces.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday from Oakey's South Chapel with Dr. Daniel E. Scott officiating. In
lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in his memory to the
American Heart Association (4504 Starkey Rd. S.W., Suite 115, Roanoke, Va.
24014), the American Diabetes Association (1290 Seminole Trail, Suite 2,
Charlottesville, Va. 22901), or The Special Music Fund at Virginia Heights
Baptist Church (2014 Memorial Ave. S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24015). The family
will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel immediately following the
service.
