EDWARD A. STUBBLEFIELD

Niche marker for Edward A, Stubblefield in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk (Suffolk City), Virginia.

Edward registered for the draft in Williamson, WV on 29 November 1943.

On 3 October 1944, Pvt Stubblefield was transferred from 82nd Airborne Division Hq to Service Co, 508th PIR.

Pfc Stubblefield was wounded in action on 21 January 1945 and evacuated. On 10 May 1945 he was transferred to the hospital's detachment of patients and did not return to the regiment.

He recovered and e-enlisted on 10 Novembe3r 1945 and went on to complete a full career in the Army retiring as a Sergeant First Class.
