marker for Hugo J. Stumpp in the Ascension Catholic Cemetery,
Libertyville (Lake county), Illinois.
Hugo enlisted in the Army at Chicago, IL on 7 October
1942. Pvt Stumpp was
attached to Company H on 15 March 1943 and then was listed as assigned
as of that same date.
On 16 September 1943 Pvt Stumpp was transferred to Special Duty with HQ
(Rear Detachment) at Camp Mackall. He returned to normal duty
status on 25 October 1943.
On 27 November 1943 Pvt Stumpp was transferred to the
541st PIR. |
