BREWSTER SUNDAY

SUNDAY, Brewster (Bruce, of San Ramon, May 13, 1963, beloved husband of Alma Sunday loving father of Nancy . and Keevan and Steven Sunday, all of San Ramon) loving son of Mrs. Nancy Sunday of Locust Grove, Oklahoma) brother of Mrs. John Stevens of Oakland, Mrs. Gene Seeboit of Arliona, Mr. Paul Semens of .Peags, Oklahoma, 'Mrs. Jesse Howell and Jesse Sunday, both of Tulsa. Oklahoma. Rev. Edward Sunday of Oklahoma Laverne Sunday of the USAF, Joseph and Raymond Sunday, both of Locust Grove, Oklahoma.
   A member of the Danville Community , Presbyterian Church. A native of Oklahoma; aged 45 years.
  Friends are Invited to attend funeral services Friday, May 17, at 7 p m. In the San Ramon Valley Chapel, 279 Front Street, Danville. Rev. Orville Shick officiating.

California Rites Held
For Brewster Sunday

   Funeral services for a former resident of Fairfax were held recently in Danville, Calif. the Fairfax Chief was notified this week by relatives.
   Brewster “Bruce" Sunday a native of Locust Grove, Okla. died suddenly at his home of a heart attack last Monday morning. Burial was In the Alamo cemetery at Danville.
   Mr. and Mrs. Sunday made their home here before moving to California In 1959.
   He served with the 508th Parachute Infantry during World War II and was a member and Sunday school teacher In the Danville community Presbyterian church.
   He was born July 12 1917.
   Survivors include his wife Alma of the home two sons, Keevan Bruce and Stephen and one daughter Nancy Elizabeth also of the home. his mother and several sisters and brothers.

Grave marker for Brewster Sunday in the Eucha Cemetery, Jay (Delaware county), Oklahoma,

Brewster was born in the Indian Territory, OK and enlisted in the National Guard during the 1930's.  On 20 September 1941 Sgt Sunday transitioned to the Army at Cp Barkeley, TX.  In 1942 he volunteered for parachutist duty and also went through OCS.

He was a platoon leader in Company G during the Operation Market-Garden campaign and was wounded in action on 23 October 1944.

Following the war he was stationed at Frankfurt, Germany where the regiment was the Honor Guard for General Eisenhower at SHAEF HQ.

Brewster died on 13 May 1963 at the age of 45 in Contra Costa county, CA.
