THOMAS M. SURRENCY

Grave marker for Thomas M. Surrency in the Ferreira Cemetery, Jacksonville (Duval County), Florida.

Thomas was one of the men of the the 508th who received the French Croix de Guerre with Bronze Star.  Presentations were made by French General le Gentilhomme in a commemorative ceremony held in Ste Mere Eglise on June 6, 1945.. 

Surrency was later transferred to the 505th PIR.
