WALTER J. TABOR, SR.
Walter J. Tabor, Sr. A Mass for Walter J. Tabor Sr., 83, of Roselle will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph the Carpenter Church, Roselle, after the funeral from the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home, 139 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth.

Mr. Tabor, who died Thursday in Morristown Memorial Hospital, was a painter with General Motors Corp., Linden, for 35 years before retiring in 1986.

An Army veteran of World War II, he served in Europe. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local 595, Linden.

Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Roselle for more than 60 years. Surviving are Mercedes, his wife of 62 years; sons, Walter Jr., Vincent, Victor and Terrence; a sister, Mary Bonnell; brothers, Andy and Frank, and 12 grandchildren.
