ALVIN L. TAYLOR

Grave marker for Alvin L. Taylor in Plot: E LIFE 442 B 1 of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Oklahoma City (Oklahoma county), Oklahoma.

Alvin enlisted in the Army at Dallas, TX on 10 July 1942.

On 5 August 1944 Pvt Taylor was transferred to Company E, 508th PIR from the 82d Airborne Division, Leicester, England.

During the last two  weeks of March 19455 he attended the IX Troop Carrier Command Pathfinder School.

Pvt Taylor was transferred to the 17th Airborne Division on 28 May 1945 and was ultimately discharged on 18 June 1946.

His military decorations include the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations.
