Grave marker for Milton E. Taylor in Section 3, Site 1 of the
Florence National Cemetery, Florence (Florence county), South Carolina.
Milton enlisted in the Army at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC on
14 October 1942 and was assigned to Hq 2nd, 508th PIR.
The Morning Report of 30 September 1943 states that Pvt
Taylor was transferred as unattached to the 69th Infantry Division. On
26 October 1943 a corrected entry said his status was changed from detached
service to permanently transferred to the 69th Infantry, Camp Shelby, Miss
per Special Order 209 dated 19 October 1943.
He did not return to The regiment. |
