Mr. and Mrs. M.S. TerBush received a telegram from their
son, Linton, saying he had landed safely at Presque Isles, Maine. Would
be in a hospital there for a few days and then would be taken to another
hospital for further treatment, but he did not know his destination.

Died at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, at the age of
84. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1941. He served his
country in the Army from 1944-1945 as a PFC in the 508th Parachute
Infantry Regiment as a light machine gunner and fought in the Battle of
the Bulge. During this time he earned the Purple Heart. He was a farmer
and carpenter in the Mayville area and from 1973-86 was a custodian at
Mayville School. |
