Ted R. Thompson, 76, of
Flatwoods, husband of Lois Damron Thompson, died Thursday at his residence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston Family Funeral Home in
Ashland. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ted R. Thompson, 76, of
Flatwoods, husband of Lois Damron Thompson, died at his home Thursday
evening following a sudden illness.
Ted was born July 23, 1931, in
Boyd County, a son of the late Delbert and Magdalene Carter Thompson. He was
a retired Staff Sergeant with the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean
Conflict and in Viet Nam, receiving the Bronze Star. Ted had a love for
music and the outdoors. His hobby was his guitar repair shop known to many
as the "Pickin' Parlor." Ted also served on the Board of Directors of the
North Eastern Kentucky Fish and Game Association and was Past Chairman of
the trap division.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, John David Thompson.
Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, Lois, include one son, Rob
Thompson of Ashland; a brother, Roy Thompson and wife Ellen, of Maryville,
Tenn; and one granddaughter, Maria Thompson of Ashland.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston Family Funeral Home, by
Pastor Bill Parker. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
