STEVE R. TRIPLETT

Steve R. Triplett, age 70, of 3400 Crescent Way, died Jan. 9, 1996 in Granite Falls, N.C., the city of his birth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth J. Triplett.

Mr. Triplett was a retired repairman with C & P Telephone Company. He belonged to the Saint John's United Methodist Church. Mr. Triplett was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers; the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army; the 507 Airborne Regional and the 17th Airborne Division.

Mr. Triplett is survived by three sisters, Irene Adams of Granite Falls, N.C., Evelyn Barnes of Las Vegas, Nev., Sylvia Blackwell of Hickory, N.C.

four brothers, Ted L. Triplett of Ft. Mills, S.C., Gene Triplett of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Roger E. Triplett of Lenior, N.C. and Jerry Triplett of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and friends.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 1996 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gaynor C. Shepherd and the Rev. Ed Martin officiating at Saint's John's United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel is in charge.
