Grave marker for Rudolph J. Trubacik in Concordia Cemetery, Saint Louis (St. Louis City), Missouri.

Rudolph enlisted in the Army on 24 January 1942 and following completion of jump school was assigned to Hq 82nd Airborne Division in England.

On 3 October 1944 he was transferred to Company H, 508th PIR in Nottingham and subsequently fought in the Battle of the Bulge. 

Pfc Trubacik was awarded the Purple Heart for a wound suffered in December 1944 and the Combat Infantryman Badge for action during the campaign, 18 Dec 1944 to 20 Feb 1945
