Although the date of his arrival was not recorded, T5 Tybursky served in the Medical Detachment, 508th PIR where he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal on 17 December 1945.

On George, accompanied by wife Stella, arrived in New York City, NY from Bremerhaven, Germany aboard the SS America.  Stella was a Swiss national.

It is unclear whether George was still in the military at that time.

On George and Stella departed Westover AFB, Chicopee, MA to Frankfurt, Germany on MATS Flight A431/8.  In this instance he was specifically listed as a civilian.

Both of them died in Europe.  Stella's death occurred in Germany in 1978 while George expired in Luxembourg in 2008.  Despite those locations both were buried in Massachusetts.
