Served in WWII, father to 2 children: Kenneth Lee and Lynn,
husband to Alice Jean Kerr, and grandfather to 4 grandchildren.
He loved doing puzzles and was an organized hoarder of
tools, canes, puzzles.
He had pancreatic cancer, which took him within a
month of diagnosis. |

William enlisted in the Army at Ft Sam Houston, TX on 8
August 1942.
On 23 April 1945 Pvt Umberson was transferred from the
51st Reinforcement Battalion to Company F, 508th PIR. |
