Eulogy

Sal was a good guy. We loved to talk for
hours, especially when we spoke about the 2nd world war. He lived
a very colorful life. I'll miss you. Goodbye my airborne
buddy

My Sal was a passing star that shone brightly in
my life. He was a kind and gentle person loved by all whom knew
him. May God rest his soul in peace. We will miss you.
- Your grateful and loving Niece Connie and Nephew Bob
I have been a friend of Sal for a good many years.
He was very easy to be friends with, as he was a quiet, gentle man.
I fell lucky to have been his friend.

He was a Maître D at the 500 Club,. one of the most
finest [sic] restaurants in New York. When we met, he was at the
top of the fair with 400 people under him. Did $100 a plate
dinners for Governor Rockefeller. Played with all the big bands
and his favorite was Benny Goodman. During the 2nd World War he
had his own band in the army. He wrote music as a ghost writer for
many hit songs. He taught dancing and owned a dance studio.
He was a fabulous Harvest moon Ballroom dancer. He was my dance
partner through the years, loved going out and having fun playing in
Vegas. He lived life to the fullest.

it was given to me some years ago by Sal's wartime
girlfriend Betty Smith (her surname was Claridge in wartime) just before
