YSIDRO VAQUERA

Cpl John H. Anderson, 835 22nd Street, Oakland, has completed four weeks of jump training in the Army paratroops at Fort Benning, . Ga., and has. won the right to wear the wings and boots of the paratroops. Another Oakland man, T5 Ysidro Vaquera, son of Luz Vaquera, 5615 San Pablo Avenue, also has won the same honor.

Grave marker for Ysidro Vaquera in Plot 3, Site 2990, San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella (Merced county), California.

Ysidro registered for the draft ca. 1943 and was inducted into the Army at San Francisco, CA on 30 December 1943.  He re-enlisted on 1 January 1945.

On 3 June 1945, T5 Vaquera was transferred from the 6900th Reinforcement Depot to Company C, 508th PIR.

Ysidro married Maria Estella Garcia in Maricopa county, AZ on 8 September 1946.

He was discharged on 1 January 1947.
