LOUIS D. VERDECCHIO

VERDECCHIO

Mr. Louis D. Verdecchio, 93, of Sharon Hill, formerly of 49th Street, Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
Louie was a WWII Veteran with the 82nd Airborne.
Louie was a Bricklayer for 60 years and loved his work. You can see his beautiful craftwork when you look at the Philadelphia Mummers Museum, the Aramark building and the Drummond Scientific building.
He moved to Sharon Hill in the 1950s, but remained rooted in 49th Street. He was so proud of his Italian heritage. He loved to play cards, traveling, spending time with family, doting on his grandchildren. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, loved a practical joke, and would light up any room he walked in.
Louie was devoted to his family and friends. He was everyone's favorite uncle who made the best cheese steaks and baked clams. He was always the first person there when you needed help. He will be loved and missed always.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Theresa Verdecchio, two brothers, Dominic and Nunzio, five sisters, Santarella Cozzi, Louise Tanga, Mary Latessa, Anna Russamano, Lillian Nickel.
