ALBERT L. VILLA

 Anchorage resident Albert ''Rocky Roselli'' Villa, 74, died of a heart attack Dec. 11, 1999, at Providence Alaska Medical Center. A graveside service with full military honors was at Fort Richardson National Cemetery.
   Mr. Villa was born April 18, 1925, in Reading, Pa., and served in the U.S. Army for 10 years as an airborne ranger. He received the Purple Heart, Silver Star and Paratroopers Medal.
   Mr. Villa worked for North American Van Lines for seven years, as a roughneck in the oil industry in Texas, Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico for five years, as a shipyard worker in Seattle for three years and as a concrete/construction worker for five years.
   He moved to Alaska on May 10, 1992, and was a member of Holy Family Cathedral. Mr. Villa enjoyed reading, boxing and sports.
   Though he had no survivors, ''Rocky had many friends who respected and loved him,'' said a close friend. Arrangements by Witzleben Family Funeral Homes & Crematory.

Grave marker for Albert L. Villa in Section K, Site 146, Fort Richardson National Cemetery, Fort Richardson (Anchorage Borough), Alaska.

Pvt Lopez was transferred from the 11th Replacement Depot to Company G, 508th PIT on 10 August 1955,

Pfc Lopez re-enlisted in the Army at Shelbyville, NC on 10 November 1945.

Based on the grave marker inscription, Albert ma y have engaged in boxing under the pseudonym of Rocky Rosselli although no history of that name has been found..

His military decorations include the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for the Holland campaign and Airborne operations.
