WILLIAM F. WALL

Grave marker for William F. Wall in Bethesda Cemetery, Aberdeen (Moore county), North Carolina.

William, a native of the District of Columbia, enlisted in the Army at Fort Myer, VA on 19 December 1942.

Pvt Wall was assigned to Service Company, 508trh PIR.  The exact date of his arrival is unknown as the December 1942 Morning Reports for that month are not available.

On 3 August 1943 William was promoted to the grade of Pfc. Two days later he was sent on detached duty to Washington & Jefferson College, Washington, PA.  He returned to duty as of 1 October and immediately left on furlough.  For some reason he disappears from 508th records after that.
