Information and. education at the Airborne Traini9ng Center, a email
isolated airdrome near the town of Yamoto In Japan, Eighth Army
Headquarters reports. The center's mission la to produce parachutists far the
Eleventh Airborne Division.

Sergeant Wareing entered the Army in' January, 1941 trained at Port Bragg; N.C
for duty with the Ninth Infantry Division. One year later .he was transferred to Port Moultrie;
S. C as a military policeman.' Ha subsequently volunteered far parachute duty and. In October, 194$, ha attended Jump school, at
Fort Benning; Ga.
In November, 194R ha became a member of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment and
saw service in Scotland. - Wales, France, Belgium and Germany. Ha also participated -In "the drop",
into Normandy and Holland. After the ear, he moved with the regiment to
Frankfurt, Germany to act as an honor guard tor General Eisenhower,
Sergeant Waning re-enlisted In the Army with the intentions of making it a career, according to! Eighth Amy

Anthony enlisted at New York City, NY
on 27 March 1941 which was prior to the enactment of the draft law.
Consequently his record reflects a registration date of 18 August 1945
following his discharge. Why it is marked as "CANCELLED" is unknown.
Anthony enlisted in the Army at New
York City, NY; on 17 January 1941.
Cpl Wareing was transferred to Co F,
508th PIR on 27 October 1943 and on 15 November 1943 he was reassigned
to Hq 2nd.
On 19 December 1944 he was wounded in
action, His record on the World War II Hospital Admission Card Files,
[1942-1954] states that he was wounded in the shoulder by the blast
effects of an an aerial bomb. He rejoined the company on 27
February 1945.
SSgt Wareing was transferred in grade
to the 513th PIR, 17th Airborne Division on 18 August 1945.
He was discharged on 20 September 1945
but re-enlisted on 9 July 1948.
