MICHAEL WARGO

Washington Monument
juts prominently in the background as members of "The Old Guard", as Arlington Cemetery's Honor Guard is traditionally known, execute 'Present Arms' as their leader renders a hand salute during Michael Wargo's funeral.

Michael Wargo [1926 - 2005], Plot 544, Grave 3754
is one of the men of HQ1st featured in the e-book "We Served Proudly, The Men of HQ1" (click here to read Mr. Wargo's biography).
NOTE: This face of the gravestone will be engraved in the near future.  The photo will then be replaced by one of the updated engraving.

(Plot 54, Grave 3754)

Jean R. [1923 - 2002, was a Captain during the Korean Conflict and preceded her husband in death by nearly 4 years.
As Jean preceded her husband in this stacked grave, her casket lies at the lower level.

TAPS
is sounded by a bugler whose position directly in front of the tree may be a purposeful illusion enabling him to "disappear" during the haunting rendition of this traditional military salute.
