Grave marker for Theodore W.
Weeks, Jr. in Plot: G of the Ortona Cemetery, Ortona (Glades
County, Florida. As attested to by
the caduceus symbol on the face of the stone, he was a
medical doctor and apparently dedicated himself to a rural
practice.
But many will remember him as a member of
the Medical Detachment. His military decorations include the
Bronze Service Arrowhead for having taken part in Operation
Market-Garden when the 508th jumped into the area of
Nijmegen, Holland, September 17, 1944.
