RAMON W. WELLS

Grave marker for Ramon W. Wells in Section 29 (Veteran) Lot 4, Tier 3, Grave 11 of the West Park Cemetery, Cleveland (Cuyahoga county), Ohio.

Ramon enlisted at Ft Hayes, Columbus, OH on 26 November 1942 and served in company "I", 508thg.

Pvt Wells was seriously wounded in action on 20 June 1944 and was evacuated to a field hospital.  On 27 September 1944 he was transferred to the Detachment of Patients at an unknown hospital, possibly in the U.S., for further treatment.  He did not return to the regiment.

Pfc Wells was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for action during the Normandy, France Campaign, 6 June 1944 to 9 July 1944
