Grave markers for George B. Wilson and his wife in the Cowley
Cemetery, Cowley, Big Horn County, Wyoming,
George was transferred into Company A, 508th from the 51st
Reinforcement Battalion (PAC) on 16 Apr 1945 and became a member of General
Eisenhower's Honor Guard. The timing and his original unit designation
may imply that he had previously been destined to ship to the Pacific
Theatre but the war ended before he could do so. |
