Robert Clarence Wist was born on September 3, 1944 in Marshall, Texas, the eldest son of Clarence Charles Wist and Anne Hope Wist.

He was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended several colleges prior to his induction into the U.S. Army in February 1966.

Bob spent his post Army life in heavy construction and built power plants all over the world. His last project prior to retirement was the Delta Five Launch Platform at Cape Canaveral, FL. Bob passed away peacefully on April 9, 2014.
