WALTER WOJTYS

Age 91. Husband of the late Genevieve (2007) for 61 years. Wonderful Father of eight children and 14 grandchildren. Will be dearly missed by Joseph, John, Edward (Robin), Maryann, Joanne (Jerry), Wanda (Ron), Helen (Tim) and most precious Steve. Preceded in death by Ann (Joe) Borgala, Pete Homen, Stella Burynski (John) and Edward Wojtys and sister-in-law Josephine (Clarence) Konopatzki, Sister Mary Euphemia, CSSF, Mary (Tony) Czarny, Sister Mary Alexander, CSSF, Helen Jakubowicz, Agnes (Joe) Urbiel and son-in-law Dennis Tomczyk. The best Dziadzia to John (Jamie), Michael (Keri), Veronica, Stephanie (Randy), Andrew, Eric, Jaclyn, Kathryn (Chris), Adam, Jeremy, Laura, Sarah, Steven and Madelyn. Survived by brother-in-law John Jakubowicz and sister-in-law Lillian Wojtys.

Past President of St. Andrew Church Parish Council. Proud WWII Army Veteran.

Visitation Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 4-9 p.m. and Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 1-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at: Jarzembowski Funeral Home 18957 W. Warren Ave. (at Artesian) Detroit, Mi 482228 313-271-0800 Funeral Monday, March 31, 2014. He will lie in state beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Michael Church, officiated by Fr. Julian Chmura and Deacon Joseph Urbiel. The church is located at: 11441 Hubbard Livonia, MI 48150 Interment St. Hedwig Cemetery.
