GORDON R. WOODLEY


GORDON R. WOODLEY SATELLITE BEACH Gordon R. Woodley, age 81, of Satellite Beach died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Buffalo, NY, son of Mae L. (Dolph) and Raymond A. Woodley.

Gordon was a Sgt. First Class in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division of Screaming Eagles. He retired from the Army after more than 20 years of service. He was also a member of the Elks Club.

Mr. Woodley came to Brevard County in 1993 after residing in Tallahassee. He is survived by his son, William Woodley of Deland, FL; two stepsons, Howard Wilson of Canyon, TX and William Wilson of Melbourne, FL; stepdaughter, Katherine Wilson of St. Peters burg, FL; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Gordon was predeceased by his wife, Trona in 2005, and his oldest son, David in 2007. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Friday, September 26th at 2:30 p.m., with Military Honors. A memorial service will be held at the Elks Club on Saturday, September 27th at 11 a.m.
