William enlisted in the Army at Ft Hayes,
Columbus, OH on 3 November 1942.
His date of arrival in Company F is unknown but during
the period of the Tennessee Maneuvers, Pvt Woolen was first hospital in
a field hospital on 8 Oct 19443 and then was transferred to a civilian
hospital in Nashville, TN. On 27 November 1943 he was
transferred to the 541st PIR. |
