Yount in Lafayette Memorial Park, Fayetteville (Cumberland county),
North Carolina. Junior enlisted in the Army on
23 June 1944 and volunteered for parachutist duty.
On 8 March 1945 Pvt Yount was transferred to Co F from
the 11th Reinforcement Depot.
T5 Yount re-enlisted on 10 November 1945 and remained
in the Army until he was discharged as a Sergeant First Class on 31
December 1967. During his 33 1/2 years of service he participated
in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. |
