LESTER M. ZELLERS, JR.
   Lester Mark "Zeke" Zellers Jr., 71 Erin, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Gateway Medical Center.
   The funeral will be in 3 p.m. Friday at Nave Funeral Home, Erin, with Brother Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery, Dover.
   Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 8 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
   He was born July 12, 1933, in Findlay, Ohio, son of Lester Zellers Sr. and Alice Beck Zellers. Mr. Zellers was retired from the U.S, Army and served in Vietnam.  He was a member of VFW Post No. 4895 and American Legion Post No. 73.
   Survivors include his wife, Shirley Raynor Zellers; a son, Mark Zellers, Carlisle; a daughter, Penny Adams, Clarksville; three brothers, Robert Zellers and David Zellers, both of Findlay, Ohio, and Thomas Zellers, Fostoria, Ohio; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Grave marker for Lester M. Zellers in the Moore Cemetery, Dover (Stewart county), Tennessee.

Lester first enlisted in the Army on 4 November 1953 and was discharged on 27 January 1959.  He re-enlisted the following day with a discharge/re-enlistment pair on 27 December and 28 December 1965.  His final discharge, as a Sgt First Class, after over 17 years of service occurred on 31 August 1974. 

His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster.
