PARATROOP TRAINING

In the service

Ft. Bragg, N.C. (AHTNC) Dec. 3 --- Army Private First Class Earvin T. Mull, 22, son of Mrs. Doris Bryant, 2424 N. 21st st, recently participated in Cabal Assault, a five-day field training exercise conducted by the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N. C.
During the exercise, Ft. Bragg, and its surrounding area, were made up of mythical countries, seas, lakes and gulfs. Some 10,000 troops took to the skies and woods west of the division area as friendly and aggressor forces from the imaginary cities of Traumania and Baneovia.
Traumania, a friendly western nation to the U.S., provided 20 percent of the world's copper supply and had to be protected from the menacing aggressor state, Baneovia, to the north.
Pfc. Mull, an infantryman in Company D, 2nd Battalion of the divisions 508th Infantry, entered the army in January, 1970. Completed basic training at Ft. Campbell, Ky., and was last stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga.
He is a 1966 graduate of West Division High school.
