615th Squadron, based nearby in Deenthorpe.
Clinton was
Lt Bohnsack's best hometown friend. Both were from Davison,

Dies In State
Funeral services for
the husband of a former Tallahassean were conducted in Davison,
Mich., yesterday.
Edward Bohnsack, 38, husband of the former Hazel Davis, died from a
heart attack last week while the couple and their two children were
enroute to Michigan after vacationing in Coral Gables with Mrs. Bohnsack's mother. Death occurred in Clearwater [FL].
Mrs. Bohnsack attended Florida High School and Florida State
University. Her survivors [sic] in Tallahassee include two
aunts, Mrs. Norman Harper and Mrs. Fred Burns.

Edward enlisted in the Army Air
Corps as a Private on 3 January 1942 and was selected for pilot
training and a commission.
Based on the headstone
inscription, Edward transitioned to the U.S. Air Force after it was
created in September 1947 and attained the rank of Captain. |
