Flies To Frankfurt
FRANKFURT-ON-THE-MAIN, July 26 -- (AP -- President
Truman arrived here today to inspect American troops and have lunch with
Gen. Eisenhower, after a 90-minute flight from Potsdam.
The President took off from the Gatow Airport, and flew at 6,000
feet all the way.
Mr. Truman arrived at the Eschborne Army Airport soon after 9:30
a.m., a few minutes behind Secretary Byrnes, who came on another plane.
The President began a round of inspection with a review of an honor
guard made up from the 508th Parachute Troop Regiment of the 82nd
Airborne Division. |
