FRANKFURT NEWS LINE

   Lt. William E. Burr, Jr., who is on duty in Frankfurt, Germany, with the 508th Parachute Infantry, is en route home on a 45-day leave, and will join his mother in Washington [DC].  He and Mrs. Burr plan to come to St. Louis next month to visit his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs.. George T. Priest, at Lemay, and may go to California to see his father, Col. Burr, when he next arrives in the United States.  Col. Burr is stationed on the U.S.S. Mariposa, which plies between San Francisco and Australia, carrying war brides to the United States.
   While in St. Louis Lt Burr and his mother will see his sister, Mrs. Charles R. Finley, Jr. (Julie Burr), a private first class, in the WAC, stationed at Scott Field.

MAYNARD

   Pvt Richard A. Humbert, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Greely Humbert of Dunkerton, who formerly lived in Maynard, is now in Germany, stationed near Frankfort, with the headquarters company, first battalion, 508th paratroopers infantry regiment of the 562nd [sic] division.  Pvt Humbert is taking training in radio and communications.

   Pfc. Joseph Cipriana [sic, s/b Cipriano], of the 508th Parachute Regiment is one of the boys guarding SHAEF headquarters in Frankfort [sic], Germany.  His regiment is part of the 82nd Airborne Division which now has a major part in the occupation of large German cities.

Momrovian at Frankfurt

 Sgt Ray Haaker son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hasler of 926 S Mayflower is now with an occupational outfit at Frankfurt Germany He is in the 82nd Airborne Division, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Company "B".
    Haaker who is 20 years of age has been overseas since January He entered the army in May of 1943 and joined the paratroopers in August of 1944.
