Tohatsu
Corporation (Tohatsu Kabushiki-gaisha) is a Japanese company that, beginning
in 1950, built the fastest two-stroke motorcycles in that class and held a
large share of the motorcycle market in
Japan and abroad. However, production ceased in 1964 due to declining
market share. The company continues to manufacture outboard motors and other
items.
