CAMP MACKALL TEAM BEATS ROBINS 8-1

   Red Springs June 8 — Lefty Brewer, former Charlotte Hornets and Washington Senator pitcher, held the Flying Robbins of Red Springs to seven hits Sunday as the baseball team of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment at Camp Mackall defeated the locals 8 to 1,
   The soldiers had been beaten earlier in the season by the Robins. Bledsoe and Watson who shared pitching duties for the Robins gave up 10 hits Five errors by the locals contributed to the victory by the soldier nine.
   The Robins will play the Marine team from Camp Lejeune at Robbins park here Sunday afternoon

Finance School

  Wake Forest N C June 12— (AP) —Camp Mackall'a 508th Parachute Infantry team scored four rune in the! fifth frame of a seven-inning game today to defeat the Army Finance !School 5 to 3
  The visitors accounted for their runs by slamming out four singles and a home run by Warnecke with one on.
   The Finance School plays Durham Transportation at Durham tomorrow.

   Camp Mackall, N C June 20— (AP)— Forrest Brewer former pitcher for Charlotte in toe Piedmont Prague turned in a three-hit performance and fanned ten as the Five Hundred Eighth Parachute -outfit defeated the Wake Forest Army Finance school 7-1 here today.

   Draper pitched the route for the losers and gave up only five hits Five errors and numerous walks however contributed to the scoring The Finance School plays the Pre-Flight Cloudbusters at Wake Forest on Wednesday afternoon Starting time is 5:30
