CAMP MACKALL NEWS LINE (7)

Private First Class Carroll B. Calvert
of Lego [WV, is now a member of the 508th parachute infantry in combat training at Camp Mackall, N.C.   He joined the Army October 10, 1942, and won his wings as a parachutist on March 5, 1943.   Before entering the service he attended Sroco high school and later worked for the Lillybrook Coal company at Killarney.

   Pvt Robert [G.] Jordan [Hq 2nd] came Friday evening for a 10-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Jordan and family.  Pvt Jordan has been transferred from Fort Benning, Georgia, to 508th Parachute Inf., camp Mackall, N.C.

Private Henry J. Richardville
s now a member of the 508th Parachute Infantry, in combat training at Camp Mackall, N.C.   His father, Henry Richardville, resides at 912 Twelve and One-Half street.
   He won his wings as a parachutist on March 5, after being in the service since last October,  He attended Vincennes high school and was employed at the Brown Shoe factory before enlisting.

P.F.C. Walter G. Woods
member of the 508th parachute infantry, in combat training at Camp Mackall, N. C. arrived Tuesday morning to spend a short leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.. Harry Woods.

UTLEY IS PARATROOPER
   Technician Fifth Grade Robert B. Utley is now a member of the 508th parachute infantry in combat training at Camp Mackall, N.C.  
He is a son of Mr. and Mrs.. John Utley 1601 West Eighteenth Avenue, and he enlisted on March 4, 1941. He won his wings as a parachutist on Dec 29, 1942.  
   He is a former student of Amarillo High School and worked at United Electric.
