Lieut. William F. Knapp arrived in New York City Saturday from the
European area. Mrs. William Knapp will join her husband this
Wednesday in Indianapolis, Indiana. He expects to have a 45 day
leave a little later. Lieut. Knapp's company was detached from the
Parachute Infantry directly after V-E Day and formed an honor guard
for General Eisenhower the remainder of their time in Europe. Lieut.
Knapp has served overseas for 26 months.
