The men pictured at left were all eligible to join the
American Ex-Prisoners of War Association
A number of the 508th's men
were captured by enemy forces during the course of WW-II and each were awarded
the Prisoner of War medal.
Some recipients of this award
were lucky enough to have escaped from their captor's clutches and returned
to fight another day.
