Spartan Accommodations
don't seem to have wiped the smiles off these faces

30 Foot Towers
were employed to get the feel of jumping from the aircraft and to simulate the landing impact

Checking Progress
Lt. Col. Lindquist and Tom Shanley watch trainees on the 30 foot jump towers.  Shanley was probably a Major at the time of this photo.
Packing Shed
is where used parachutes were laid out on long tables to facilitate the repacking process.  Initially each trainee had to learn to pack his own chute ... and then jump with it!
Success!
