WW-II Era Uniform Insignia
These various insignia items belonged to 2/Lt Robert J. Killion of whom little is known.
He is believed to have become an OCS candidate sometime after enlisting in Boston, MA on July 31, 1942 at which time he had a year of college under his belt.  The schooling probably helped to advance his rank.
Based on the items seen here, he earned the Purple Heart and CIB and participated in all four campaigns as attested to the by the Bronze Campaign Star devices, as well as the Bronze Service Arrowhead, affixed to the EAME campaign ribbon.  His parachutist wings, however, only have a single combat jump star.
