AIRBORNE THEMED POSTERS
Recruitment Brochure piqued the interests of young men to volunteer for the newly formed airborne. Bond Drive
Paratroopers began to be featured on War Bond posters as they represented a new, seemingly fearless, breed of America's fighting men.
Airborne Fighter
is pictured with his Thompson sub-machine gun ready to fire as he descends.
  Probably not an accurate posture but it sells bonds.
Blood On The Risers
Reminiscent of the song "Gory Gory Halleluiah" sung with great bravado by paratroopers in training, this poster was a sad commentary on what awaited at Normandy
Invasion Forthcoming
Hitler wasn't the only one who knew there was to be an invasion, the U.S. Government sought national acceptance and support of it long before it happened.  Note that this poster is for the third war loan, i.e., new national debt.

With the strengths instilled by the picture of a paratrooper landing on foreign soil, who could resist buying still another war bond?
82nd Airborne Had Its Own War Bond Campaign
   War Bonds offered special incentives for G.I.'s to contribute including free phone calls to the States, free  travel to Paris, and best of all, free travel home.
